| Genetic information | Knockout of the Mcam gene. The Mcam gene deficient mice were generated by standard gene targeting techniques. Genomic sequences from Exon 11 to the middle of exon 16 were replaced by a Neomycin resistance cassette (1145bp). Gene targeting was done in a BALB/c ES cell line, after selection positive clones were tested by PCR and Southern blot and injected in C57BL/6 blastocysts. |
