Information from provider

ProviderMiguel Seabra
Provider affiliationMolecular Medicine Section, National heart & Lung Institute, Imperial College London
Genetic informationFragment containing exon 2 and 3 of Rab27b gene and adjacent intron sequences was deleted and replaced by loxP site
Phenotypic informationHomozygous:
Rab27b knock-out exhibit significant hemorrhagic disease. Rab27B KO platelets demonstrated impaired aggregation with collagen and the U46619 thromboxane A2 analogue and reduced secretion of dense granules. Number of dense granules per platelet and platelet serotonin content were reduced in Rab27B knock-out mice.

Heterozygous:
---
Breeding historyThe animals were strictly intercrossed for at least 20 generations.
