Provider affiliationUniversity of Bern
Genetic informationA/J mice which are susceptible for chemically (tobacco carcinogen NNK)-induced lung cancer were backcrossed for more than 10 generations with C57BL/6 perforin knock-out mice provided by Prof. Hengartner from University of Zurich.
Phenotypic informationOur data showed that these mice are more susceptible for chemically induced lung cancer (Frese-Schaper M. et al., Cancer Immunol Immunother, 12014).
Breeding historyThe C57BL/6 mouse strain deficient in perforin was received from Hengartner's laboratory in 2009 and backcrossed for more than 10 generations to A/J background. A/J mice can be used as a model for chemically induced lung tumors.

Order

Availabilities

Requesting frozen sperm or embryos is generally advisable wherever possible, in order to minimise the shipment of live mice.

  • Frozen sperm. Delivered in 4 weeks (after paperwork in place). €1740*
  • Rederivation of mice from frozen stock, delivery time available upon request . €3880*

Due to the dynamic nature of our processes strain availability may change at short notice. The local repository manager will advise you in these circumstances.

* In addition users have to cover all the shipping costs (including the cost for returning dry-shippers, where applicable).
