Provider affiliationUnite INSERM, Institut Bergonie
Genetic informationDeletion of Tox3 exons 5-6 to remove the HMG box DNA binding domain. TOX3 is a GWAS breast cancer predisposition gene. Derived from Tox3tm1a(KOMP)Mbp by crossing with FLPe deleter then Stella-Cre deleter.
Phenotypic informationNot characterized yet. We expect the mice to die at birth from possible neurological problems.
Breeding historyTox3tm1a(KOMP)Mbp mice from UC Davis were crossed with FLPe deleter from EMMA to delete lacZ-neo then to Stella-Cre deleter from Sanger to delete Tox3 exons 5-6. Backcrossing to C57BL/6N of mice without the FLPe or Stella-Cre alleles has just started. The KOMP tm1a and FLPe lines were both pure C57BL/6N, the Stella-Cre line was on a mixed background.
