Information from provider

ProviderVolker Burkart
Provider affiliationInstitute for Clinical Diabetology, German Diabetes Center
Additional ownerDr. Z.Q. Wang, Leibniz Institute for Age Research - Fritz Lipmann Institute, Jena, Germany
Genetic informationA promoterless neomycin gene replaced part of exon 2 and intron 2. The neomycin sequences were fused in-frame to the coding sequence of the gene. Northern blot analysis detected a truncated fusion transcript in homozygous mice. Enzyme activity assays demonstrated a lack of functional ADPRT1 protein in homozygous mice.
Phenotypic informationAbnormal sensitivity of pancreatic islet cells to beta cell damaging mediators.
Breeding historyMore than 10 backcross generations to female NOD. Every 2nd generation intercrossed, currently inbred.
ReferencesNone available

Homozygous viableyes
Homozygous matings requiredno

Order

Availabilities

Requesting frozen sperm or embryos is generally advisable wherever possible, in order to minimise the shipment of live mice.

  • Frozen sperm. Delivered in 4 weeks (after paperwork in place). €1740*
  • Rederivation of mice from frozen stock, delivery time available upon request . €3880*

Due to the dynamic nature of our processes strain availability may change at short notice. The local repository manager will advise you in these circumstances.

* In addition users have to cover all the shipping costs (including the cost for returning dry-shippers, where applicable).
