Information from provider

ProviderJose Ramon Naranjo
Provider affiliationCentro Nacional de Biotecnologia (CNB-CSIC)
Genetic informationThe cDNA encoding human KCNIP3 (DREAM) with two amino-acid substitutions at EF-hands 2, 3 and 4 (EFmDREAM) was inserted downstream of the human CaMK.IIalpha promoter in a bicistronic expression vector containing an IRES and the lacZ reporter gene. The transgene cassette was microinjected into the pronuclei of one-cell embryos (B6CBA) and backcrossed and maintained as hemizygotes in C57BL/6 background.
Phenotypic informationModerate to low transgene expression. Brain, immune system and reproductive system, expression not detected in the entire spinal cord. The presence of lacZ reporter gene cassette within these transgenes makes them prone to display alterations in the expected gene expression pattern and levels.
Breeding historyGenerated in B6CBA background and backcrossed (>10 times) to C57BL/6. Currently maintained as hemizygous in C57BL/6 background.
