Genetic information | An IRES-CreERT2 cassette was knocked in between the termination codon and the polyadenylation signal of the Polr2a gene to allow for bicistronic expression of the tamoxifen inducible Cre recombinase CreERT2. This mouse strain is used for inducible ubiquitous Cre recombinase expression. |
Phenotypic information | No phenotype is associated to this mutation. |
Breeding history | Chimeras were crossed with CD1 females for germ line transmission analysis. Heterozygous animals were crossed with Tg(ACTFLPe)9205Dym mice to remove the frt-flanked neomycin resistance cassette used for homologous recombination selection. Then the line was backcrossed to C57BL/6J for more than 10 generations. Line has been maintained in homozygosis. |
