Genetic informationIn order to obtain tetracycline controlled expression of human TRP-MET oncoprotein, its cDNA was cloned into the pBI-eGFP vector (Clontech) to generate the bidirectional Tpr-Met-TetO-GFP responder. Gene expression was induced in the heart by crossing the Tpr-Met-TetO-GFP transgenic line with mice which carry a transgene consisting of the tTA driven by cardiac alpha-MHC promoter. The GFP gene facilitates detection of responder transgene on whole organ as well as in tissue sections.
Phenotypic informationNo phenotype was observed in single transgenic mice.
