Information from provider

ProviderColin Brooks
Provider affiliationUniversity of Newcastle
Genetic informationC57BL/6 Klra5 (Ly49E) b-geo knock-in.
Phenotypic informationLack of expression of Klra5 (Ly49E). Expression of b-geo. No other known phenotype at present.
Breeding historyTargeted C57BL/6 Bruce 4 ES cells were injected in B6 albino [B6(Cg)-Tyrc-2J/J] blastocysts, and the resulting chimeric animal was bred with FLP-deleter mice on a B6 background. Progeny of these animals that had deleted the selection cassette and possessed a Klra5 knock-out allele were interbred, and animals homozygous for the Klra5 knock-out allele were interbred. Animals are currently at their 4th generation of interbreeding.
