International strain name | B6.Cg-Klra5tm1.1Cgbr/H |
Alternative name | Ly49E-ko |
Strain type | Targeted Mutant Strains : Knock-out |
Allele/Transgene symbol | Klra5tm1.1Cgbr |
Gene/Transgene symbol | Klra5 |
Information from provider
Provider | Colin Brooks |
Provider affiliation | University of Newcastle |
Genetic information | C57BL/6 Klra5 (Ly49E) b-geo knock-in. |
Phenotypic information | Lack of expression of Klra5 (Ly49E). Expression of b-geo. No other known phenotype at present. |
Breeding history | Targeted C57BL/6 Bruce 4 ES cells were injected in B6 albino [B6(Cg)-Tyrc-2J/J] blastocysts, and the resulting chimeric animal was bred with FLP-deleter mice on a B6 background. Progeny of these animals that had deleted the selection cassette and possessed a Klra5 knock-out allele were interbred, and animals homozygous for the Klra5 knock-out allele were interbred. Animals are currently at their 4th generation of interbreeding. |
