Information from provider

ProviderKaren Philpott
Provider affiliationImperial Cancer Research Fund
Genetic informationTargeting construct is derived from 129 DNA. The deletion spans all the repeats known in the Emu-Cmu intron leaving intact the necessary elements for accurate splicing of mu transcripts. The homozygous mutant mice are generated by a targeted mutation of the TCR alpha gene, by insertion of a neomycin-resistance cassette into the exon coding for the extracellular C-alpha domain, via homologous recombination.
Phenotypic informationThe homozygous animals show elimination of alpha beta+ cells and the absence of thymic medullae. In contrast, they present a normal number of gamma delta+ T cells.

Order

Availabilities

Requesting frozen sperm or embryos is generally advisable wherever possible, in order to minimise the shipment of live mice.

  • Frozen embryos. Delivered in 4 weeks (after paperwork in place). €1740*
  • Rederivation of mice from frozen stock, delivery time available upon request . €3880*

Due to the dynamic nature of our processes strain availability may change at short notice. The local repository manager will advise you in these circumstances.

* In addition users have to cover all the shipping costs (including the cost for returning dry-shippers, where applicable).
