Information from provider

ProviderAnton Berns
Provider affiliationResearch - Animal Facility, The Netherlands Cancer Institute
Genetic informationZygote injected transgene: chicken actin promoter-loxP-GFP-bGHpolyA-loxP-Krasv12-IRES-hPLAP. A 1.2 kb human cDNA fragment encoding K-rasv12 was placed under the control of the 1.8 kb chicken beta-actin promoter. In between the promoter and K-rasv12 a 1.3 kb GFP cassette with a poly-A linker was placed, flanked by two loxP sites. This GFP cassette served as a marker for beta-actin promoter activity. Behind the K-Rasv12 a 2.9 kb human placenta-like alkaline phosphatase (ALPP or PLAP) was placed as a reporter of K-Rasv12 expression.
Phenotypic informationConditional K-rasv12 transgene, females might develop mammary tumors.
Breeding historyCurrently backcrossed to C57BL/6.
