Genetic information | Mice from the BAC-InshtTA transgenic line express the tTA synthetic transcription factor into pancreatic beta-cells. When crossed with transgenic lines carrying a cDNA under the control of a tetO-dependent promoter, it allows its conditional expression, repressed in the presence of doxycycline. Efficiency was tested using target tetO reporter and was excellent. |
Phenotypic information | We did not observe any phenotype in animals carrying Tg(BAC-InshtTA). |
Breeding history | Backcrossed into C57BL/6 for five generations. |
