International strain name | B6;129P2-Bdkrb1tm1Bdr/Cnrm |
Alternative name | B1 knockout |
Strain type | Targeted Mutant Strains : Knock-out |
Allele/Transgene symbol | Bdkrb1tm1Bdr |
Gene/Transgene symbol | Bdkrb1 |
Information from provider
Provider | Thomas Walther |
Provider affiliation | Hull York Medical School, University of Hull |
Genetic information | The B1-receptor gene (Bdkrb1) was cloned from a genomic library of 129/SvJ mice in lambda FIXII. The targeting vector was generated by flanking the neomycin resistance gene with a 1.0 Kb genomic fragment 5' of the B1-coding region and a 7.0 Kb fragment 3' of the B1-coding region. |
Phenotypic information | B1-deficient animals are grossly normal, fertile, and normotensive. |
Breeding history | The line is currently backcrossed to a C57BL/6J background (second generation of backcrossing). |
