Genetic information | The Lk(TG)11 transgene is based on the mouse immunoglobulin light chain Vkox-Jk5 rearranged transgene (Sharpe et al. 1991). A run of eleven TG dinucleotides was inserted in the KpnI restriction site at the border of the complementarity determining region 1 (CDR1) and framework region 2 (FR2) of the variable region and in HpaI site at the beginning of the constant region. The insertion of the dinucleotide repeats creates a STOP codon in the CDR2, rendering the transgene non-functional. |
