B6.129S2-Lime1tm1Mal/Orl
Status | Available to order |
EMMA ID | EM:01815 |
International strain name | B6.129S2-Lime1tm1Mal/Orl |
Alternative name | LIME KO |
Strain type | Targeted Mutant Strains : Knock-out |
Allele/Transgene symbol | Lime1tm1Mal |
Gene/Transgene symbol | Lime1 |
Information from provider
Provider | Malissen Marie |
Provider affiliation | Centre d'Immunologi de Marseille Luminy |
Genetic information | Complete knock-out with deletion of exons 1-5. Deletion was obtained by the introduction of a loxP-neo cassette which was subsequently removed by crossing with cre recombinase deleter mice. |
Phenotypic information | Lime1 (or Lime, Lck interacting molecule) is predominantly expressed in T lymphocytes. Lime becomes phosphorylated after coreceptors cross-linking. Lime appears to be involved in regulation of T cell activation by coreceptors. The Lime1 knock-out mutation does not prevent normal development and activation of lymphocytes. |
Breeding history | This strain was first crossed onto a cre-deleter strain, followed by 8 backcrosses to C57BL/6. |
