Information from provider

ProviderHERBELIN HERBELIN
Provider affiliationCNRS UMR 8147
Genetic informationNOD congenic strain with the distal portion of chromosome 6 from C57BL/6.
Phenotypic informationThe B6 region introgressed in the NOD background contains the susceptibility locus Idd6 and the Klrb1c (NKR-P1) gene cluster. This region controls the severity of diabetes and natural killer (NK) and NKT cell functions. The Klrb1ca (NK1.1) congenic mouse strain may be used for easier experimental identification of NKT cells in NOD mice.
Breeding history10 generations of backcross followed by sister-brother matings.

Availabilities

Requesting frozen sperm or embryos is generally advisable wherever possible, in order to minimise the shipment of live mice.

  • Frozen embryos. Delivered in 4 weeks (after paperwork in place). €1740*
  • Rederivation of mice from frozen stock, delivery time available upon request . €3880*

Due to the dynamic nature of our processes strain availability may change at short notice. The local repository manager will advise you in these circumstances.

* In addition users have to cover all the shipping costs (including the cost for returning dry-shippers, where applicable).
