Genetic informationThis line was obtained by modification of S3 C57BL/6N embryonic stem cells. A Cre-T2A-TdTomato cassette was inserted after the STOP codon of Mcpt8, by homologous recombination in ES cells. The pPGK-Neo selection cassette flanked by FRT sites was removed by breeding chimeras with a C57BL/6N flp recombinase deleter line. This line has been published, with description of cre recombinase and Td-Tomato specific expression in basophils. A detailed technical report of model generation is also enclosed. For detailed information on the genetic description of this strain, please see this report.
