Genetic informationA cDNA containing a codon improved version of cre recombinase followed by polyA signal sequence was fused into BAC clone at exon 1 of mouse Stab2 gene so that cre expression is driven by the regulatory sequences of the BAC gene. The resulting modified BAC was used to generate this transgene. Three founder lines 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3 were identified. The line 1.2 displays cre activity in liver sinusoidal endothelial cells. The genomic insertion is unknown.
Phenotypic informationHomozygous:
Not applicable, mice strain kept only hemizygous.

Heterozygous:
The transgenic mouse strain Tg(Stab2-icre)1.2Cger is a cre recombinase driver; cre is expressed in sinusoidal endothelial cells.
Breeding historyTransgenic founder mouse was kept in continuous crosses (>10) with C57BL/6N.
