Genetic informationThe line was obtained by microinjection of a transgene composed of cassette containing the mouse 8.5 kb CamkIIa promoter region, a rabbit-b-globin intron, the CreERT2 cDNA and a SV40 pA cassette. The genetic background of the fertilized oocytes was C57BL/6J x SJL/J. The founder was then backcrossed to a C57BL/6J genetic background. The subline 127.29 was analyzed and cryopreserved. Twelve copies of transgene are inserted on mouse Chr5. The creERT2 expression has been show to be specific. The information available on the characterization of the line, e.g. expression analysis, histology, paper reference, is available on the web page linked here.
