Genetic information | An AhCre transgene vector, containing the cre recombinase coding sequence under the rat CYP1A1 promoter, was injected into fertilized C57BL/6 x CBA oocytes. Founder mice were backcrossed onto C57BL/6 mice to establish transgenic lines. Heterozygous transgenic lines were interbred to establish homozygous AhCre mice. |
Phenotypic information | Homozygous:None breeds to homozygosityHeterozygous:No phenotype |
Breeding history | The line was cryopreserved many years ago. It was created around 2002/3 by pronuclear injection of B6 x CBA embryos and maintained as pairs of trios mainly comprised of transgenic males crossed to wild-type females. Initial wild-type breeders were B6. But the line is not congenic to B6. |
