Genetic information | C57BL/6N-Tg(Cxcl13-cre,-tdTomato)723Biat mice were generated using BAC RP23-57A17 (Invitrogen). Transgene integration was achieved using Red/ET recombination technologies (Gene bridges) according to the manufacturer’s protocol and as previously described (Sparwasser et al., PMID:14755803). The coding sequence for the Cre-recombinase and the reporter tdTomato, separated by an IRES sequence and including a stop codon, was inserted into Cxcl13 exon 1 using the endogenous ATG start codon. Proper transgene integration was assessed by Southern blot analysis and mice were genotyped using the following primers: forward 5'-TCTCTGCCCAGAGTCATCCT-3', reverse 5'-ATGCTCCTGTCTGTGTGCAG-3'. |
Phenotypic information | Homozygous:Mice are kept heterozygous in order to avoid germline transmission.Heterozygous:Cre-recombinase and tdTomato are expressed under the control of the Cxcl13 promoter. |
Breeding history | Mice are bred on C57BL/6 for N>10 generations. |
