Genetic information | Transgenic line produced by classical transgenesis (microinjection into B6D2F2 (B6D2F1 x B6D2F1)) using a modified BAC clone (RPCI-23-2303) containing the "suppression of tumorigenicity 18" (St18) gene. BAC recombining was used to insert the CreERT2 FRT Neo FRT cassette by homologous recombination into the genomic St18 locus. |
Phenotypic information | Homozygous:Not yet tested but likely to be normal.Heterozygous:Normal. No obvious phenotype detected. Mice are viable and fertile. These mice have been crossed with a reporter line and the CreERT2 expression (induced by tamoxifen) faithfully mimics the St18 in situ hybridisation result. We wish to deposit this heterozygote line in EMMA. |
Breeding history | A Tg St18-CreERT2 male founder was crossed with wild-type C57BL/6J females to generate 5 heterozygote offspring (of 8 born in July 2018) (two males, three females). Females are being re-crossed with wild type C57BL/6J mice. |
