Information from provider

ProviderSeiamak Bahram
Provider affiliationIRM, U1109
Genetic informationTargeted Knock out mice for MHC class I chain related gene (MR1)
Phenotypic informationHomozygous:
Defect in the control of infection by Klesbiella pneumoniae in mice. Significantly increased susceptibility to Salmonella typhimurium in MR1 KO animals. A number of key cytokines is reduced in MR1 KO mice: - very low expression of TNF-alpha - strong reduction of IL17 expression. Perturbation in the balance between pro- and anti-inflammatory molecules in infected MR1 mutants compared to controls: - reduction of IL1beta expression - MIP-1alpha strongly inhibited in infected mutant mice

Heterozygous:
No phenotype
Breeding historycongenic-inbred mice
