On 30 November and 1 December, we attended the 5th International Conference on Rare Diseases (RARE 2023) in the historic capital of Hungary, Budapest.
The event, chaired by Prof. Ari Zimra from The Gaucher Unit at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center, Jerusalem, (Israel) brought together over 100 experts in diagnosis and treatment of rare diseases, providing us with an excellent networking opportunity within the clinical community.
At the INFRAFRONTIER booth, we engaged in numerous enriching discussions about the role of animal models in rare diseases. Our exhibited information attracted the interest of many attendees who approached us to learn firsthand how our infrastructure can support their research projects in rare diseases.
The program allowed us to attend sessions covering various perspectives on rare diseases, from the search for biomarkers for early diagnosis to the need for palliative care for the patients. We also had the chance to dedicate some time to the poster exhibition, where we encountered authors (researchers) for whom our services and resources could be an interesting support.
We are grateful for the invitation and look forward to reconnecting soon with this scientific community.
