CHARLIE Consortium Meeting

INFRAFRONTIER’s information desk

The second ‘live’ Charlie Consortium Meeting took place on April 29 and 30 at Helmholtz Munich, organised by the German Mouse Clinic (GMC) with the collaboration of INFRAFRONTIER. This event brought together a diverse group of scientists, clinicians, and patient representatives from 6 different countries.

The two-day event focused on scientific advancements and pivotal discussions surrounding the progress and future direction of the consortium. More than 30 speakers had the opportunity to present their work and other topics of interest to the consortium. INFRAFRONTIER, from an information desk, briefed participants on the ( resources and services related to rare diseases) that they can access free-of-charge.

For all the attendees, CHARLIE means more than just a name, as it is also the acronym for CHAnging Rare Disorders of LysInE Metabolism, which gives the name to the international research consortium aimed at addressing rare diseases linked to lysine metabolism disorders.
