INFRAFRONTIER and the European policy on research and innovation

In 2002, the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) was launched to identify and address the scientific needs of research infrastructures in Europe for the next 20 years.

Today, the EU is funding more than 40 European Research Infrastructures in a large variety of scientific areas.
