Genetic information | An inducible cre deleter under the control of the vascular endothelial cadherin (Cdh5(PAC)) promoter; cre recombination is induced upon administration of tamoxifen. Useful for the study of angiogenesis, atherosclerosis and neovascularisation. Non-induced Cdh5(PAC)-creERT2 mice show absence of cre recombinase activity, while tamoxifen-induced Cdh5(PAC)-creERT2 mice show high levels of recombinase-mediated gene deletion in vascular endothelial cells (95%+). |
Phenotypic information | Homozygous:Not knownHeterozygous:Normal appearance |
Breeding history | Founder lines were backcrossed to C57BL/6 for at least 10 generations. |
